Preventative Exams, Screenings at No Out-Of-Pocket Expense to You

At MountainStar Medical Group, we value our patients and want to partner with them to achieve good health. That is why we’re offering to help make sense of the new healthcare reform laws and explain some of the positive changes and benefits.

As of January 1st, your healthcare benefits plan should cover preventative care visits with no out-of-pocket expense to you. Preventative exams and healthcare screenings with a physician are now 100% covered, as a result of government healthcare reform that started in 2011. Several services are covered and include, but are not limited to: well child exam, annual physical, mammogram, colonoscopy and many more.  For more information, click here.

Also new in the new healthcare reform laws allow our physicians to provide yearly preventative services at no-cost to all Medicare patients. The new coverage eliminates the need to pay a Part B deductible, and waives the 20 percent co-pay for selected services.
